Workshops on native plant propagation, gardening for wildlife, how to design a native plant garden for color and interest throughout the year,  and special workshop on restoration gardening will be offered between April and June of 2020.

Winter Native Plant Extravaganza, Saturday, February 22, 2020 10:00-4:00

Shop for native plants at this special fundraiser for the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour. East Bay Wilds in Oakland, the Watershed Nursery and Annie’s Annuals, in Richmond, and Green Thumb Works in Hayward will all be open from 10:00-4:00, and staff will be ready to help you select the right native plants for your garden.

Spring Native Plant Extravaganza (Sat. and Sun. May 2-3, 2020)

Please join us at the Spring Native Plant Extravaganza, which will take place on the weekend of Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour, when a number of nurseries specializing in California natives will be open on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday May 3 from 10:00 to 5:00. These nurseries carry large quantities of hard-to-find California natives.

At these events knowledgeable staff will be on hand to help you select plants right for your garden.

Self-Guided Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour (Sunday, May 3, 2020)

As usual, the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour will take place on the first Sunday in May. This year the date is Sunday, May 3, 2020; on that day 35 beautiful native plant gardens and nurseries will be open. (Please DO NOT visit the private gardens on Saturday, May 2, as the hosts will be busy preparing for the event on the following day. The tour takes place ONLY on Sunday, May 3, 2020.) .
